Update your 2.5 or 2.7 |
|
We have received many enquiries asking if switches can be added to the mk 2.5 or 2.7 in a similar way to that of the mk3. Well, the answer is yes. To make it simple we offer a kit containing all of the parts required. There are two options available. 1) Purchase the upgrade kit. This will allow you to have switches instead of cutting the mode wires., retaining the functionality of the mk 2.5 or 2.7. 2) Return the LMF to us, where we will load our new firmware, allowing the 2.5 or 2.7 to mimic the functionality of the mk 3. We will return it complete with an upgrade kit for you to fit. Note:- Unless you really need to have an adjustable timeout period outside of those available on the mk 2.5 or 2.7 there is no need to upgrade to the 3.0 firmware. We offer it as an option for the few customers who do need this facility. We offer the upgrade kit on a cost only basis, for the convenience and benefit of our valued customers. Therefore new instruction sheets and upgrade instructions are not included. These can be printed directly from this web site. To fit the upgrade switches you will need to be able to solder and have a few tools, a soldering iron, wire cutters, modelers knife, hot air gun and a glue gun or epoxy resin. If you have any questions or are in any doubt please contact us for advise. If you do not feel confident to fit the switches yourself, we are happy to do this for you if you select option 2, upgrade to mk 3. Please advise us prior to ordering.
