Warning Competitors lost model finders only work with single conversion ppm receivers and are more expensive than ours.
Our LMF works with ALL ppm, pcm and 2.4gig receivers |

Does the LMF include a low voltage alarm? |
No! we looked at this option and decided it was self-defeating. What is the point of having your model bleeping to warn of low battery when your plane is in the air and engine noise drowning it out? All that will happen is that your battery will flatten even quicker! Battery voltage naturally rises when off load or switched off, so measuring at switch on only would give a false ‘good’ reading. We recommend the use of a LED bar graph type meter on the outside of the plane. They can be purchased from Hong Kong very cheaply. |
Is the 2.7 version still available? |
The new 2009 model Mk3 has all the features of the 2.7 and adds the free flight mode previously found on the 2.5. We took the view it may confuse our customers if we offered both the 2.7 & 3.0 versions. We can of course do a small production run should our customers specifically request the 2.5 or 2.7 model. |
What is the difference between the 2.5 / 2/7 & 3.0? |
Not much! We spent a great deal of time to design what we consider to be the best lost model finder available, whether it be the mk2.5 / 2.7 or 3.0 The Mk2.5 has a free-flight mode. This was removed on the mk2.7 which added a 4 hour timeout period in its place. The mk3 re-introduces the free-flight mode found on the mk2.5 (which we don’t think anybody ever uses!)* The pre-set timeout periods ( 15/30/90/240 minutes) has been removed and in its place the user can set any timeout period they wish between 1 and 240 minutes) We look forward to customers feedback, if they prefer the simplicity of setup of the mk 2.5 / 2.7 or the flexibility of the 3.0 *we use the ff mode as an egg timer in the kitchen :o) |
Should I upgrade to a mk3? |
No! Not that we wish to discourage customers from buying our latest model. The mk3 offers no additional benefit unless the user requires a specific timeout period or constantly moves it between planes requiring different modes.

You can! By popular demand we have introduced payment via paypal using credit or debit cards. This makes it far simpler for you. We still accept personal cheques. |
Because it is far easier to set up. Anyone setting up an esc will vouch for that! During development we produced units that were set in a similar way to escs (power on with tx at full, listen for beep, return stick to close etc) and units with switches. Without exception, everybody preferred the switches |
Other brands just detect the loss of servo pulses from the receiver. This is why they ask you to turn the transmitter off. This is fine for some ppm receivers, but better receivers continue to send pulses even when the tx is switched off. Our LMF overcomes this limitation by using Tx Control or Y Lead Mode, intelligently monitoring & verifying the pulse stream. Our LMF will work with ALL receivers. |

Frequently Asked Questions |
Yes! The LMF has been designed to work with all receivers, ppm, pcm & 2.4 gig spread spectrum. It has been tested with all the leading brands of receiver and some cheapies. It performed flawlessly with all of them. |
Will the LMF work with any receiver? |
I purchased a similar device of a different brand and it only works with some receivers. Why? |
Why do you use switches to set the LMF rather than the transmitter? |
Why can’t we order from the internet or pay by card? |
We have extensively tested our products and given many samples to modelers to try. Without exception they were all delighted with the product. If however you are not satisfied for any reason, return it for a full refund. |
